As RangeGoats Golf Club enters LIV Golf Nashville this week, it’s hoping this up-and-down season has more of the “up” than the “down” in Music City.

The team sits in a respectable ninth place in the season-long standings and has three top-6 finishes. But a good result has been typically followed by a frustrating result, and since that’s the case, expect a nice showing in Nashville this week considering the team finished 12th in Houston in the previous event.

Overall, the team will be looking to put Houston in the past. Matthew Wolff (7 under) and Thomas Pieters (4 under) both played well for most of the week, but Captain Bubba Watson and Peter Uihlein both finished over par. Part of the issue on the disappointing weeks have come on Sundays, when all four scores count. In Houston, for example, three of the four players posted over-par scores, with only Uihlein (68) shooting under par.

The club can easily look back to podium finishes in Las Vegas and Miami for confidence, and its T6 finish in Singapore showed plenty of fight.

Now they enter LIV Golf Nashville, which might prove to be a crucial week on the schedule. The Grove was designed by LIV Golf League CEO Greg Norman and is a treasure tucked into one of the lushest landscapes in the Nashville area. One of the most challenging aspects of the layout is McCrory Creek, which winds throughout holes and is known as one of the most beguiling natural hazards in competitive golf.

The water features don't stop there. There are plenty of ponds surrounding greens and fairways, which offer true risk-reward opportunities for all skill sets. The course also begs players to take chances, and if executed correctly, the payoffs are huge. The greens should be fast this week and the fairways are generous. Couple that with elevation changes and The Grove should provide plenty of drama.
